Primavera Online is fully accredited by NCA and CITA. These agencies require a broad and rigorous curriculum, highly qualified staff, appropriate pupil-teacher ratios, an implemented school improvement plan focused on increasing student performance, and other components necessary to provide a quality education. This ensures that your child is getting the highest quality education and preparation for the future.
How It Works
Applications are accepted year-round for enrollment. Courses are developed that allow students to follow a sequential path to complete each class successfully. Students may take two courses every six weeks. Each class is structured into 30 three-hour lessons, and is equivalent to .5 credits, based upon the Carnegie method for issuing credit. Primavera's innovative course
structure is
a simple method that enables students, parents, and faculty to easily follow, and understand each class.
Daily activities include a variety of different interactive exercises, videos, reading assignments, quizzes, and daily classroom discussions. The discussions are designed to generate student to student interaction, based on a teacher led topic. This will become an important part of the course, and build a sense of community between peers.
Our certified teachers and staff are in contact with each student, and their parents, throughout the duration of the course. A weekly phone call to the home is typical, and in addition, the teachers are available Monday through Friday to assist the students with any class work or questions they might have. More frequent communication will take place in the announcements, classroom discussions, notes on assignments and email. Attendance is also monitored, and students and/or parents are contacted to ensure a successful completion of the course, and that credit is earned.
