Since opening its doors in 2001, Primavera Online High School has attracted students who are looking for an alternative, internet-based approach to traditional school. This alternative education model is appealing to students who wish to accelerate their education to enter college sooner, pursue professional careers that require flexible schedules, are geographically distant from traditional schools, or desire to learn from the security of their own homes.

Full-time students at Primavera have the opportunity to earn a fully-accredited diploma. Our faculty and staff provides personalized attention and helps prepare our students to successfully complete their academic courses and also to pass the state-mandated AIMS tests. The academic program is organized on a rotating block schedule. Students are enrolled in two courses every six weeks.
Students who attend another high school can make up credits or get ahead by taking advantage of our concurrent enrollment. Primavera also offers students a wide variety of honors courses and dual enrollment courses are available through Grand Canyon University and Rio Salado College.

Primavera offers students numerous ways to get involved. Students are encouraged to interact with their teachers and peers by attending school events, joining clubs such as Student Government, Key Club or National Honor Society, and by utilizing the communication tools provided in the Parent Student Portal. Primavera boasts a strong social media presence and invites all students to "Join the Discussion" on Facebook and Twitter. Seniors are also invited to attend a full graduation ceremony, which is held twice a year in Spring and Winter.

Primavera employs 178 teachers, 127 support staff and 3 administrators. All Primavera teachers are highly qualified in their subject area, Arizona Certified, and 73% have a Master’s degree or higher. Every student receives personalized attention from their teacher through phone calls, email, and online discussion boards.
